The D-Link DSH-8 is a Dual Speed eight-port Ethernet/Fast Ethernet hub with 10/100Mb NWay auto-sensing on each port. It is specifically designed for small office needs, striking a crucial balance between ease of use and performance. As a stand-alone solution, it can be quickly integrated into a existing Ethernet networks to allow migration to Fast Ethernet, or used out of the box to start a new Fast Ethernet or Ethernet network. Integrated 10/100Mb switching allows the DSH-8 to translate between Ethernet and Fast Ethernet devices. Great Hub go no further.......2000-03-05

Excellent hub. Fairly small foot print. Unit has no fan, but runs quite cool unlike some other models. Because it has no fan it is silent (useful if your computers are in your bedroom!). Auto negotiation is seamless. Has some auto partitioning capabilities that work very well. Only a very chatty NIC will hose this hub up. Unit display is clear, and the warranty is unbeatable (lifetime). The two instances I have had to contact D-Link for NIC support they were very professional. No 1-800 number for support (grrr!).
