good range, bad for my cable modem.......2006-08-28

I was very happy with it at the beginning. it has very good range and throughput. bittorrent was good, web browsing was good, voip was ok. but it would lose connection from time to time.
Then after a while, my cable modem kept losing connection. I thought it was the cable service which caused it. But actually it was the router.
I don't why it caused it. Hopefully it is just me who has this problem.
By the way, it doesn't happen on my new zyxel-550 .

Fantastic router.......2006-05-20

The speed and range on this are better than ANY non-MIMO router I've used (and I've played with probably 10-20). It's equal to or better than the MIMO routers from Belkin, Linksys, etc. It's virtually identical to the Zyxel and netgear (and has better tech support than the Netgear). It has NEVER crashed on me and throughput is excellent.

If you are looking for the fastest wireless router, this is not for you; If you are looking for the wireless router with the widest accss range, this is also not for you; but if you are a heavy p2p user/gamer/voip user and you want a reliable wireless router that does not disconnect after heavy usage and that does good QOS (Quality of Service) work, this is definitely for you, my friend. By the ways, this trendnet model is almost identical to the Zyxel x-550 but it is much cheaper even without the rebate.
