The Gefen DVIDL switcher is well built and comes with all the necessary cables. (Necessary are dual link cables.)The cables are light blue and easy to discern from all the others. Although there is no emulation, it easily switches between computers with a single button. It takes up little room on my desk and fits neatly under my 30" Dell monitor. I recommend this switcher to any one on the upper end of video gaming cards as well as every day operations.

I have had this a few days now and I can control both a MAC mini and PC laptop through the same keyboard, mouse and monitor. Job done.

I had the added complication that the keyboard is PS1 connected to USB via an Adesso adaptor, again no problem. I also have a multi-function printer and works fine through this switch for the PC (device not MAC compatible). The audio also switches and this is useful since I have speakers in my monitor.

The unit is quite heavy and robust, seems to be decent quality.

The only thing that annoys me is that the LED lights flash when my computers are not active (off or disconnected) so unless you turn the power off you will have a blue and green disco thing going on in your room (unless I have not read how to avoid this).

Overall I am completely satisfied with this purchase.
