The JBL Platinum speakers have a new trendy space-saving design, and the digital audio player port allows you to directly connect your MP3 or any other portable music player directly to the speakers for enjoying or sharing music headphone-free.The speakers are independently powered, so you can listen without having to turn on the PC. Power and volume controls are conveniently located on the front of the right speaker, so you can control the volume without fumbling through your PC software. Now, quick and easy volume adjustments are only a short reach away. The speakers offer a rich three Watts per channel output and can produce up to 93 decibels of high-quality sound, for the ultimate in stereo audio. A key contributor to the high-quality sound is the tuned bass port located near the bottom of each speaker. The port is finely tuned to emit just the right amount of bass output and correctly balance it with treble audio.JBL Platinum series speakers are equipped with side-mounted, retractable hooks for quick and convenient attachment to all new Compaq CRT monitors. The retractable hooks create a clean, smooth appearance when the speakers are used on your desktop. Security locks discourage theft by allowing the speakers to be secured to the monitor. The locks are located underneath the removable cloth grill and are easily deployed by loosening the retaining screw on each speaker, sliding the metal clip into place, and then retightening the screw. Once the cloth grill is replaced, the speakers are secured without sacrificing the stylish appearance.Electronics:
