I purchased my Apple bluetoothed keyboard in the summer of 2006 and have loved it ever since. I don't seem to use the keyboard as much as my mighty mouse so I haven't really had to change the battery all that much. A low battery indicator pops up momentarily with a profile picture of the keyboard well in advance. You can also check on the battery level through through the drop menu. I never turn it off! I like the white looks of the keyboard and I really like the touch and feel. It helps me to type quicker but its really comfortable has the right touch personally. Actually I've always liked Apple keyboards dating back to the original 128K Mac. That's when I found out that I could fly. (talking about keyboards here) I purchased this keyboard because I wanted to be able to eject my disks from my mac-mini by touching the eject button on the keyboard. But I also like the navigate buttons and the speaker on/off up and down volume levels. This keyboard has everything I need. I highly recommend this keyboard!
High Quality Typical of Apple.......2007-04-23
With few exceptions, Apple is noted for attention to detail and high-performing design. The Apple Pro Wireless Keyboard is no different. The keyboard is far easier to use than any any other notebook or desktop keyboard I've used. The keys press softly without sticking or causing unintended repeats.
The wireless function is stellar. The setup for the keyboard is built right into OS X, including using a Bluetooth PIN to secure your key presses. That's a nice touch for me, as I work in security. The signal quality is impeccable (I've never had a dropout), and lag is not a problem in normal use. Apple also allows the keyboard's firmware to be updated wirelessly via the built-in keyboard updater on the included CD.
The Energizer Titanium batteries that come with the keyboard are full of punch. I've had mine for two months and used it everyday; the battery meter still reads 4/5 full.
Great Keyboard, just becareful about Amazon's price.......2007-04-22
I tried to buy this product from Amazon. Just to find out that Amazon provided a link to say that their price is so low that they can't reveal the price. I click on the link to find out that the price is $62.99, higher than the typical $59.99. I emailed Amazon just to find a meaningless response about how they often have better prices and they can't possibly offer a good price. Its ironic because they went out of their way to advertise about an agreesive pricing discount when in fact, they marked the price up higher than the MSRP street price. Good one Amazon!
Good Style, Narrow Footprint, Excellent Battery Life, Easy Install.......2007-04-14
Using it on my early G4 IMac w/ the Bluetooth USB adapter.
Had to buy a new one only because I soaked my previous one in Chardonnay.
My usual battery life for this is months - left on all the time.
Pair it with the wireless bluetooth wireless mouse and you've added a new level of slickness and simplicity to your set up.
I really like it.

Apple Wireless Keyboard.......2007-06-15
When I ordered my iMac, I chose to purchase the standard keyboard. Once I received my iMac, I realized how easy it was to move it around to different rooms in the house. So, I decided to buy the wireless keyboard. I love it!
It works...but Apple could have done a lot better.......2007-06-14
Ok, let me say I pretty much love everything about macs...except for their peripherals. The minimalistic design works for some things, and not for others. Ipod - Yes, keyboard - No and don't even get me started on that abomination known as the Apple Mighty? Mouse
First off, if you want a keyboard that only has nice key action then this is perfect for you. If you want something that adds REAL media controls, good battery live, dedicated hot keys, then look elsewhere. I have had my keyboard for about 7 months now and it does the job, but with a lot of compromises.
1. No real media support, you have the volume keys and the track forward and back buttons, but they only work if you have itunes active...and not just playing in the background, but actually selected. Forget about hitting play and minimizing the player. You will need it open if you want to skip a track.
2. It would be nice to have dedicated application keys live the logitech s 530. Not a biggie, but most modern keyboards have them
3. I have never been a fan of the home, delete keys in the second column. The placement just feels unnatural and I always find myself looking at the keyboard to make sure I don't hit the wrong button.
4. AND PROBABLY THE BIGGEST ISSUE: Battery life is atrocious. I use my keyboard sporadically throughout the week (It's paired to a macbook pro so work at my desk about a third of the time)and I still find myself replacing batteries every 3-4 weeks, and it takes 4 AAs! Don't even think about using the standard batteries, you have to get the energizer high performance batteries for any real sustained life. I tried the energizer rechargeable batteries too, but they drain even faster and then I am forced to use standard batteries while they are recharging. Another year and I will have probably paid for the keyboard in battery purchases. Just to keep it in perspective, I can't remember the last time I changed my Microsoft wireless keyboard on my PC.
All in all, it's a decent keyboard that has good action and works right out of the box. I think it's overpriced compared to others for what it offers, but it pairs perfectly with my macbook pro, it's just very limited. You may say that APPLE has the best OS and computers, but I think Microsoft and Logitech beats them hands down on their peripherals.

Might not thrill audiophiles but for someone who just wants more volume then the laptop provides it works just fine. It is light and easy to transport. I use it for presentations where sound from the laptop was not loud enough in a large room and it works great.

I cannot believe the large sound from this tiny speaker. I love the flexibility of it and the sound is SO MUCH better than my everex speaker. If you need a laptop speaker this is the one to buy. It is very portable and kinda cool looking!

Very good speakers. Except.
I use them with PowerPoint with small groups. The volume is OK but I bought a second unit and found the computer would only run one speaker at a time.

Unless your laptop's soundcard is not working, or your speakers are barely hearable I wouldn't recommend this. Odds are your laptop does as much as these speakers.
It is well built, looks resistant and it does a decent job. Do not expect very good quality.

I like the sound of mine so much I bought one fo my friend for his birthday. It's not super loud but you can listen to music from your mac, with good quality. Just plug it into your USB port. My friend loves his too. He uses his all the time. Great for travel.

I really thought the reviews for this item were probably a little over-blown, but the speakers have proven me wrong. As someone who primarily uses their laptop on the go, I have been looking for a set of small, easily transportable, decent sounding speakers. These fit into all three categories. I am pleasantly surprised by the fullness of the sound that they put out. If you're strictly an audiophile, you'd be better off investing in a good set of Bose headphones, but if you need something to quickly and efficeintly plug and play so other people can hear what is on your laptop, then you won't find a better buy for your money.

the "out of the box" design and think that the folks at JLab need to expand and create a whole lot of new "out of the box" stuff to make life
